“(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: ‘We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'” – The Holy Quran, 76:8-9
To help our fellow man is one of the greatest things we can do. When a brother is in need there is a opportunity for another brother to be doing a good deed. It is our duty as muslims to spread goodness in this world and especially take every opportunity to feed the poor.
I encourage all you to come out to this event and show unity with our interfaith community. This is a wonderful cause.
