City of Boca Raton Arbor Day Event

Community Greening & the City of Boca Raton need your help as we add 40 new trees along El Rio Trail on Saturday, Oct. 22nd at 9 am.

Community Greening will have all of the necessary tools, as well as gloves and water (though feel free to bring your own); there will also be DJ on-site to keep things fun. Please wear closed-toed shoes, attire that can get a little dirty, and a hat/sunscreen.

The event begins at 9 am. The estimated finish is around 11 am.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER ONLINE IN ADVANCE HERE

Volunteers will park along NW 35th St, just across from the Islamic Center of Boca (3480 NW 5th Ave, Boca Raton), and cross NW 5th Ave where we will be planting along El Rio Trail. There will be CG Tents and signage to help guide you.

The planting will take place along a stretch of El Rio Trail in Boca. These new trees will help provide valuable shade for runners/walkers, as well help with stormwater drainage and improving air quality over their lifetime.

Please keep in mind that this event might finish before the time scheduled.
