The Islamic Center of Boca Raton is celebrating Eid Al Fitr (1441) on
The Shawwal crescent moon has not been sighted, hence Saturday, May 23 will be the last day of Ramadan, and Sunday, May 24 will be Eid Al Fitr
and the first day of Shawwal.
We ask Allah Almighty to accept from all Muslims their Fasting and Qiyaam prayers and
Eid Mubarak!
Sadly, EID SALAT WILL NOT BE offered at the Islamic Center of Boca Raton (ICBR) as it will not be possible to maintain health safety measures due to COVID-19.

How to perform Salat Eid at Home
صلاة العيد سنة مؤكدة عند جماهير أهل العلم والأمر فيها واسع بخلاف صلاة الجمعة فإن حضورها فرض متعين على الرجال إلا من عذر.
كيف ثصلى صلاة العيد في البيت؟
يجوز أداء صلاة العيد في البيت فرادى أو جماعات لمن فاتته، وقد ثبت عن كثير من الصحابة والسلف أنهم كانوا إذا فاتتهم صلاة العيد مع الإمام صلوها فرادى أو مع عائلاتهم. روى الإمام البيهقي وغيره أن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه كان إذا فاتته صلاة العيد مع الإمام، جمع أهله فصلى بهم مثل صلاة الإمام في العيد.
وبالتالي في حالة إلغاء صلاة العيد بسبب الوباء فإنه يجوز لرب الأسرة أن يصلي صلاة العيد في بيته مع زوجته وأولاده جماعة بنفس هيئتها ركعتين يكبر في الأولى سبعا مع تكبيرة الإحرام وفي الثانية ستا مع تكبيرة القيام لكن بدون خطبة بعد الصلاة.
Eid prayer is a confirmed Sunnah according to the majority of scholars performing the Eid prayer at home for those who missed it in congregation is rather easy; unlike Friday prayers, because its attendance is obligatory for men except for a valid excuse.
How do you pray the Eid prayer at home?
It is permissible to perform Eid prayers at home individually or in groups for those who missed it, and it was proven by many companions and predecessors that if they missed Eid prayers with the imam, they would pray them individually or with their families.
Imam al-Bayhaqi and others narrated that Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, if he missed the Eid prayer with the imam, he gathered his family and would stand up and lead them in praying two rak’ahs in which he would say the takbeers like the imam in eid prayer.
Thus, in the event that the Eid prayer is canceled due to the epidemic, it is permissible for the head of the family to perform the Eid prayer in his home with his wife and children so he should pray it in the proper manner of two rak’ahs, he pronounces seven takbeers including takbeera Al ihram in the first rak’ah and six takbeers including takbeera of qiyam in the second rak’ah, but without a khutba (sermon) after the prayer.
ZAKAT AL-FITR should be paid on behalf of yourself and everyone whom you are responsible for (i.e. wife, children, etc…) before Eid Prayer. The Sunna is to give it to needy people as food. If you cannot find someone to accept Zakatul Fitr as food, then you can pay $10 per person prior to Eid Salat and ICBR will arrange to distribute.
