Learn the Art of Sewing with ICBR’s Sewing Class
Our goal is to provide a fun, creative and supportive learning environment for kids, teens and adult ages 8 and above, to learn how to sew. Our specialty is launching beginner sewers and having fun; you will learn about the sewing machine itself, the importance of sewing a straight line, and other beginning skills. The class is designed to make students feel successful and build confidence each week by completing fun, weekly projects easily repeated and fun to give as gifts…Eventually, you will begin expanding your wardrobe by sewing your own clothing, or clothing for your family.
Each class session is 2 hours long and each class meets once a week for eight weeks.

The class is $100 for 8 weeks.
It will be every Friday:
3:00 – 5:00pm
Students are responsible to bring their own sewing machine & materials.
This class is in coordination with Muslim Youth Club.
The class is taught by Miss Carol:
She developed the Fashion Design program at Nova High School in Broward County, and teaching there for 8 years, she taught sewing to young people, many “at-risk” as well.
She has experience working with kids with ADHD, Autism and Asperger’s. Sewing is very rewarding and therapeutic and helps develop fine motor skills.
She holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate and am certified in Family and Consumer Sciences
She also taught Fashion Design at the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 years, which included Clothing Construction (Sewing), Draping and Pattern Making and Sketching.
She taught and ran the Fashion Dept at Bauder College for 5 years .
She also worked in all aspects of the Fashion industry after obtaining her BA in Fashion Design.
